I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank Gloria for taking the time to connect with and read Sugar. I had recently lost my sweet older dog, Sasha, and I was grieving her loss so deeply. My heart was also hurting for Sugar because I kept thinking about how much she must miss her sister. I was so focused on mourning Sasha and worrying about Sugar being alone that I didn’t stop to truly consider how Sugar was processing and feeling about the loss herself. I have always had two dogs because I wanted them to have the companionship of one another. So, the thought of Sugar being without her sister was especially difficult for me.
